Introduction
Laxven has developed a rugged, multi-functional graphical display system for locomotives designed to function as a human-machine interface. It allows operators to view and investigate various locomotive parameters, control the locomotive, record/retrieve data, and modify user-settable parameters. The system receives data from the locomotive computer or other systems via a communication interface and is suitable for use with Diesel, Electric, Metro, DEMU, and EMU locomotives. The display system is fully assembled in a rugged housing, featuring interface connectors for power and communication cables at the rear.
System Overview
The display system is powered by the DC voltage available in the locomotive, operating within a voltage range of 40V to 140V DC. It records events and fault data based on customer requirements, with the ability to download this data using a USB pen drive. The system features a sunlight-readable LCD display of 10.4 inches with ultra-high brightness and a variety of advanced features, including automatic/manual brightness adjustment, a MIL-grade rugged keypad, and temperature and brightness sensors. It offers two variants to meet specific railway and customer needs: LAX-DIALS-12 and LAX-DDU-14, each developed according to respective specifications and communication protocols.
